Giandomenico Tiepolo is the author of many versions of this subject, “The Minuet”, in different settings. My reproduction is quite faithful to one of these versions. Even his father Giovan Batttista Tiepolo sometimes experimented with themes related to carnival and masks; but his son Giandomenico is famous for this genre and for his passion in painting his famous Pulcinellas.
