St. Giorgia and the carousel of love, which is very different from a war carousel. The female version of the famous St. Giorgio does not have, like him, to face any dragon, a representation of the demonic evil, of a matter that with its earthly bonds would harness the spirit, preventing it from accessing a "higher world". Here there is no fight but only the childish joy of a ride on a carousel together with carnival masks. The "saint" (Dita von Teese, the queen of Burlesque!) has her halo formed by the same lights of the carousel. These radiate out from behind her head whose face has an expression full of sensual promises. S.B.
