ARTEMIS' REST

Artemis's pose is one of apparent relaxation. Even though her body still lies limply curled up on the soft brocades and precious silk of her tent, she has stopped relaxing while inhaling the perfumes of the incense burner at her side; she brandishes a dart, ready to take up her bow, as her gaze is drawn to a new prey.
The goddess, equipped with a sacred halo, is caught in the moment in which she evaluates with Olympian calm whether to move immediately or postpone the hunt to immerse herself once again in her Arcadian contemplation. S.B.
